About Royal Guard Dobermans

A small, home-based program that raises Dobermans — and only Dobermans.

How we work

One breed, raised underfoot.

Royal Guard Dobermans started because we fell for Dobermans and never looked at another breed. Our puppies are born and raised inside our home, not in a kennel run. They hear the dishwasher, the doorbell and the television long before they meet a new family, which is why they settle so quickly once they get there.

Because we only raise one breed, we can be specific. We know what the cardiac screening on this breed actually means, how a red and rust coat deepens over the first eighteen months, and the difference between a puppy that will be content with two long walks and one that genuinely needs a job. That is the kind of detail a multi-breed operation cannot give you.

Every puppy is $800. We do not charge more for colour, for sex, or for a particular set of markings. If a puppy is not the right fit for your household, we will say so rather than take the money — and we turn down more enquiries than we accept.
